≺OPIM≻ by Anna Kim extends the narrative basis of Italo Calvino's novel‚ Invisible Cities as a live VR performance․ It explores the phantasm of virtuality as a new frontier‚ similar to that of the imaginary of the exotic East which instigated the colonial expansion․ The project is the result of a live multi-spatiotemproal performance that took place in Seoul․ ≺OPIM≻ simultaneously blurs the boundaries between the virtual and the real while displacing the audience through immersion through the fantastic‚ uncanny imagery‚ to conjure the effect of feeling ＂foreign in one's own skin․＂
