Moxie

Moxie began in the late 19th century as Moxie Nerve Food‚ a patent medicine created by Dr․ Augustin Thompson in Lowell‚ Massachusetts‚ before it evolved into one of Americas earliest mass-marketed soft drinks․ In its earliest advertising‚ Moxie was pitched not simply as a soda but as a health drink‚ tonic‚ and near-panacea‚ with claims that it could strengthen the nerves and relieve ailments ranging from nervous exhaustion and insomnia to softening of the brain‚ reflecting the eras love of cure-all elixirs․ Only later‚ after soda water was added and the drink was sold more broadly at fountains and in bottles‚ did Moxie shift from medicine-cabinet remedy to distinctive regional beverage though its bitter gentian-root flavor and bold advertising preserved the memory of its origins as a bottled miracle restorative․ This world was inspired by my friend Pickls and the Moxie theme song was remixed by Runar_420․
