Art Before Impressionism in 3D ǃ PCVR

The drawings and paintings in this gallery are samples of Renaissance‚ Mannerism‚ Baroque‚ Rococo‚ Neoclassicism‚ and Romanticism art styles․ Styles that preceded late 19th century Impressionism․ Many of these artists were pioneers in techniques that convey a sense of depth to scene․ They developed the use of perspective‚ relative scale‚ occlusion‚ and color fading as tools to define spacial relationships․ One feature of vision they could not capture was parallax․ Binocular vision results in two different views of a scene․ This is called parallax․ The brain interprets it as depth‚ or distance‚ from the viewer‚ This is a very important feature for industry‚ medicine‚ the military‚ driverless cars‚ predators‚ and art․ Parallax has been introduced into the images in these galleries‚ making them seem more "real"․ It requires great skill to understand and master this technique․
