市街地中心部で異常存在の反応が多発したことを受け、A․S․T本部は迅速な対応と秘匿性を両立す るため、旧市警第七分署のフ口アを改装し、機動部隊アイギス臨時司令室（AEGISTemporary Command Room）を設置した。外見は「重大犯罪課（MajorCrimesDivision）」として登録 されており、一般市民にはただの警察オフィスとして認識されている。しかし内部では、都市圈に 出現する異常存在への追跡、鎮圧、情報管理が密かに行われている。「人類と世界を守る盾は、い っだって最も静かな場所に構えられている。」
